RA 9003 declares the policy of the state in adopting a systematic, comprehensive and ecological solid waste management programs that ensures the protection of public health and the environment and the proper segregation, collection, transport, storage, treatment and disposal of solid waste through the formulation and adoption of best environmental practices. The causes and effects of solid waste management are by dumping of huge garbage, drives biodegradable materials to decay and decompose under abnormal, uncontrolled and unhygienic conditions. After a few days of decomposition, it becomes a breeding ground for different types of disease-causing insects as well as infectious organisms. In conclusion, solid waste management is an essential practice for protecting human health and the environment. The impacts of improper waste disposal are far-reaching and can have long-lasting effects on the health of our planet.

INTRAMURALS 2023

Intramurals are a great way to increase student engagement by providing students with opportunities to interact socially with their peers, which fosters a sense of belonging, positive mental health, and greater engagement in both academic and non-academic activities. Day 1 Today is the start of intramurals. All the students were excited for this and the first thing we did was do zumba. And to officially start the intramural by lighting the torch that symbolizes peace and unity throughout the Intramurals. Then they raised the ISU flag followed by the flags of different departments. Just a few minutes later, we went to the gymnasium to support our team in the bench cheering competition. When it started, the entire gymnasium was filled with shouts and applause because of the skill and talent shown by each participant.
